Bride to be Update

Monday, September 14th, 2009

Hey Ladies,

Just thought I’d do a wee update.

Its only 1 week till the show and I’m really excited. I’ve made my list and been on the website deciding which companies I need to talk to at the show.

My friend Kristin is getting married in 3 weeks, she is really organized and just looking forward to the big day now. She was at the show in February and got loads so fingers crossed I’ll be as organized as her in a few months!

I think it’ll be quite strange watching them take their vows knowing that Keith and I are next!!

We watched some sample DVD’s the other night and I was really emotional! What will I be like on the day!!

If there are any brides coming to the show that have any questions or just want advice drop me a line.

See you next week x

Candysnaps Wedding Photography Proudly Presents Leigh Ferguson & Ainslie Currie

Monday, September 7th, 2009

CandySnaps is proud to be collaborating with Scotland’s finest Hairstylist and Make-Up artists Leigh Ferguson and Ainslie Currie to offer you a complete styling and photography package for your wedding day!

We’ll be launching our new exciting packages at the Glasgow Wedding show so come and see us at stand 413D.
Leigh Ferguson founded a salon partnership in Glasgow in the early 1990’s described by Face magazine as the ‘avant garde gurus of our time’. Prior to this, she worked as a colour consultant for l’Oreal in Britain and Ireland, winning prizes for her work. Head-hunted by another international company, she crossed the Atlantic to manage and train a large team of stylists. And it was here, while working in some of the top venues and fashion houses including Burberry, Karen Walker, Ronit Zilka etc in the US and Canada, in Milan, Paris and London, that she helped to develop and market a new product line that is still a bestseller in the US and UK.

Working on glossy magazine shoots and flying to the worlds fashion capitals and painting the faces of top models and celebrity clients is all in a day’s work for Scotland’s top make-up artist Ainslie Currie who has become Scotland’s most in demand make-up artist. If she’s not working on the faces of models at Paris or London fashion week she can be found making celebrities such as Alexa Chung, Yasmin Le Bon, KT Tunstall , Ewan Mcgregor or Sean Connery for their close ups. Career highs have been working with Pat Mcgrath on John Galliano shows and working on Lanvin and Christopher Kane and being named as Sotland’s most influential make-up artist at the Scottish Style Awards.

Caroline, the photographer behind CandySnaps, is one of the few Scottish wedding photographers who have been selected as members of the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association). Her relaxed, candid reportage style will provide you with beautiful, natural images that reflect your special day as it truly happened.
