Wedding and Baby – Tiaras, Jewellery, Fascinators and more!
This is the first time that www.weddingandbaby.co.uk will be exhibiting at The Scottish Wedding Show, so we are excited about this. We will be showcasing our products which include handmade tiaras, jewellery and fascinators with a range of one-off and vintage designs. Along with a selection of our other accessories.
The vintage trend is very popular in bridal fashion, which includes fascinators and bird cage veils.
So here is our Top Tips for Fascinators
Fascinators can be worn by any age group.
• Pick your outfit before you think about accessories.
• Don’t try to match colours perfectly as this is not always possible.
• Try a lighter or darker tone or pick out another colour that features in your outfit.
• Similarly go for a completely different colour like black, white, silver or gold. Sometimes a complete contrast works much better.
• Consider your hairstyle and head size.
• Small heads carry off neat little fascinators better.
• Long faces need a streamlined design that doesn’t have too much height.
• Fascinators come on headbands, combs and clips so your sure to get something that suits your hairstyle.
What is hot for 2009/2010
Hats are out for the Mother of the Bride or Groom. These Yummy Mummy’s are going for a fashion focused approach that breaks with tradition. We have numerous Mother’s telling us “I am not wearing a hat” and why should they. Fascinators are not only more versatile, they offer the halfway between hats and hairpins. Most of all they can be used again more easily than hats.
Fascinators are not only for the Mum’s, they have been gracing the catwalks of leading fashion designers this season. So if your a bride who doesn’t do the tiara thing, fascinators are right on trend in all aspects of the very popular vintage fashion trend.
So what to choose for your wedding fascinator?
Colour blocking is hot in all fashion areas in 2009 – bright colours all clashing together. However a more wearable version of this is Hot Pink and Orange, or Teal and Purple. If your not brave enough to use the trend in a full outfit – accessories are the place to do it. Veiling is also very popular at the moment.
For 2010 the colours are predicted to be cooler, with Autumn/Winter 2010/11 key colours being Purple, Lime and Sea Green. Colour combinations will be Mauve, Lime and Black with the introduction of Brown and Forrest Green.
Invest in purple and it will last to winter 2010.
One colour to watch out for is Yellow over the next few seasons. At weddingandbaby.co.uk we keep abreast of the colour trends so why not be a trendsetter with our “Yellow Fuzz”.
Ultimately pick a fascinator that suits your personality. If your using your fascinator with a wedding dress, select aspects from your dress suckh as beading and patterns.
The beauty of fascinators is that you can be as outrageous or as simple as you wish. If you want to make a statement and be noticed then this is definitely the way to go.
We look forward to seeing you at our stand – 428D
